<storage> (SGRAM, Synchronous Graphics RAM) A type of Synchronous DRAM optimised for use in graphics hardware. Extra features can include burst operation, block write and write per bit. SGRAMs are designed to provide the very high throughput needed for graphics-intensive operations such as 3d rendering and full-motion video.
