Dear subscriber,

Following your request to receive notification when the JavaScript
'No Content' Web site http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/ has
been updated, here are the recent additions.

Recent Additions:
-------------------------

Intelligent Cookies- Saturday 21st February 1998
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/js064/index.html
Have you ever come across a web site, that refuses to accept the fact
that you don't take cookies? This article will describe how to utilise
cookies in your web site without forcing cookies on your visitors.

Passing data from one form to another - Saturday 14th February 1998
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/js063/index.html
This article describes how to transfer data from a form on one page
to a form on another page.

Frequently Asked Questions - Saturday 14th February 1998
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/faq.html
29 new Frequently Asked Questions - answered! If you have a question
to ask, or an answer you would like to see added to the FAQ, please
reply to this email.

Intelligent Password Verification - Friday 6th February 1998
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/js062/index.html
The vast majority of password protectors rely on the visitor knowing
the name of the file, which is used as a password. However, if you get
it wrong you get an error message saying file not found. The Intelligent
Password Verifier uses a subtle approach, by first attempting to load
an image file as the entered password, if the JavaScript detects that
the image did not load, i.e. it was not found, then it displays a
password invalid message.

Family Trees - Saturday 31st January 1998
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/js061/index.html
Shows how to create a dynamic Family Tree that you can navigate around.
It uses arrays to hold the data to be displayed in the Family Tree. The
example included uses the British Royal Family to demonstrate the
varying amounts of information that can be held.

Frequently Asked Questions - Saturday 31st January 1998
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/faq.html
32 new Frequently Asked Questions - answered! If you have a question
to ask, or an answer you would like to see added to the FAQ, please
reply to this email.

New Resources:
-----------------------

Opera 3.1 - a fast expanding new Web Browser that supports JavaScript
- as a result Janus Boye (one of the Beta Testers) has checked some
of the existing articles for compatibility with Opera 3.1. There is
a new contents page for Opera 3.1 users that highlights the articles
that work.
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/opera.html Over the next few
weeks further articles will be added to this list.

HTML Frequently Asked Questions - a new feature of the site - created
and maintained by Janus Boye.
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/htmlfaq.html Hopefully over
the coming months this new additional will become as invaluable a
resource as the JavaScript FAQ.

New Top Ten Page http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/utility/topten.html
listing the most frequently sought articles/topics/questions in

Free Download:

Remember that the complete contents of the JavaScript 'No Content'
Web site can be download as one zip file. This file is automatically
updated each time a new article is added to the site. The URL of the
zip file is:
http://www.btinternet.com/~martin.webb/download.zip

Guest Authors:
----------------------

If you would like to participate as a Guest Author please drop me
note. Myself and Janus Boye are considering expanding the site to
cover more than just JavaScript. We have started with a new HTML FAQ,
but we hope to be able to encourage contributions in other internet
related technologies, e.g. Java, DHTML, CSS, CSSP, HTML etc, etc.

If this idea interests you please let me know.
