How could I do the same, but only modifying the 'subject' field of the email?
That's the only thing lacking, as the article is very well written.

Problem:
"mailto:?to=ww@ww.ww.ww&to=xx@xx.xx.xx"
doesn't work with IE and Outlook.
IE doesn't translate such adress in a compatible format for Outlook (and Outlook doesn't understand such formated adress).
Have you another solution ?
Thanks for your help.

The small problem I have with this is that I'm using Exchange for mail.
Everything gets "pasted" in the To: field in the EMail message. If I use Internet mail as a setting, everything works fine.
It seems that MS Exchange does not recognize the "?" or the "&" to place the info into the corresponding fields.
This is not a problem with Internet Explorer or Netscape but with Exchange itself.
Did you know about this?
If so, are you aware of a solution to this. There must be a syntax "glitch" that I'm not aware but after about 50 hours of looking over the net for this, I still haven't found nothing. Hope you can help, and thanks for the tips.

the only problem is that it didn't work in real world test. I substituted the xx@xx.xx with a real email address for instance mine. and it brought up the error, that netscape was out of memory to close some items, I have pentium 3 and 128 megs of rams, and only 3 other screens open.
It would be great if there were some sort of solution for that. If you know of any way to implement that into IE, that would be great.

You mention that the last two email methods don't work in IE, but you DON'T say that the first two don't work on NS! I'm using v4.08, so if this is a version issue, I'd love to know what NS versions this DOES work with. Nobody seems to have a cross-browser solution...

Needs to be readdress now that IE5, NS4 & 6 are out, as well as Opera.
I'm trying to create a cross browser solution to emailing data from Flash, without using ASP or CGI (as the flash file will not always be on the same server)
Any coments welcome
