When I click on the "Hands On Cold Fusion 4.0" image, I get an Amazon screen saying the book cannot be found.

Hi there - Internet-Related brother! ;)

I just loved reading (and using) your Forum CF-application.

I'm trying to improve it, and then implementing it on my work (I hope you don't mind) - is that allright?

Would you like to receive my code when I'm finished? Do you want to listen to my ideas (because I've thought about making a knowledgebase myself)?

The only bug I found while I tried it the first time, was that on your 'admin.cfm' you try to put something in the field "password" in the table Users. The problem is that (according to your tutorial) we haven't made that field!
You have to either make a field called 'password' (which could be usefull) and a formfield in which you can enter it or you must erase the "INSERT INTO Users(...,Password)"

Once again - wow! - I liked the project a lot!

...and I'm looking forward to hearing from you again!

Regards,

/Daniel/

I was wondering if you had any content on searching your bulletin board. I have a small BB that I'd like to give a search function to but am having problems with the sql. Do you think you will be covering how to make a search engine sometime soon. Basically how to give the user the ability to enter multiple keywords and search on multiple database fields and return results...

thanks,
Emilio

Quick question, when I reply to a post, I get "No SMTP Server Specified for CFMAIL" and I didn't see a setting for that. If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it! mappenzellar@xoutdoors.com

Just Great! You guys saved me about a weeks worth of development time.I wish the books that I have read on ColdFusion had examples that were half as good as this (and this one works without hours of finding typos and errors!). Keep up the great work.

Would like to see how you would incorporate a search
in this BBS exercise. I'm just learning about CF and I
found your exercise extremely helpful. Much thanks! CB

I have been looking for a good forum tutorial! I modified the code some to suit my own purposes, but this was an invaluable tutorial on how to set up a forum.
