: A friend of mine wants to put a search engine that will only search the pages of the his website. I only found scripts that you have to give keywords. Does anyone know a free cgi script that would create a database of all the word of each page and search through that, like a spider?

Database driven search engines aren't really trivial, so you might have a more difficult time finding a free one. I suggest checking out www.cgi-resources.com and looking there.
